A blood cancer diagnosis stopped Siah’s family in its tracks.
Your support brought them closer.
At just 12 years old, Siah was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia, a type of blood cancer.
Overcome with fear and disbelief, the regional family left everything familiar behind as they relocated to Brisbane for Siah’s life-saving treatment.
For Siah, having family close during treatment was vital. It meant that she could lean on her mum during the hardest moments when pain made it impossble to walk to the bathroom alone. On the good days, she was surrounded by the people she loved most in the world. Through it all, she inspired her family with her remarkable courage.
